General Information

Positive
GutsPoker has nice graphics (a unique three dimensional interface that allows you to see other people checking their cards) and all characters are real players from around the world. Players will never be playing real money games against computers or simulated players. GutsPoker runs poker tournaments with grand prizes of US $100,000 (One Hundred Thousand US Dollar). GutsPoker has a very friendly and helpful support team. You can see that they are experienced poker players dedicated to poker. GutsPoker's home site offers a good deal of information on their operation and on poker in general, which to us is a sign that they take their business serious.

Bonus
GutsPoker offers a 25% bonus on your very first deposit of US $35 (thirty-five) or more up to a total bonus of US $200 (two hundred), which is a great bonus for online poker rooms. Another bonus GutsPoker offers is US $50 (fifty) for each person you refer to their site that will actually sign up and deposit money. Really not every online poker room offers a refer-a-friend bonus. GutsPoker offers the possibility to earn many points at certain times a day, which is important to qualify for their poker tournaments.

Tournaments
GutsPoker offers Play Money Poker Tournaments about every month and is famous for their $100,000 Play The President  Poker Tournament. Entry costs typically are low or even for free. The Texas Hold'em Poker Tournament is open to everyone with an account at GutsPoker who receives 25,000 points during th
e qualification period (4 points for every real money raked, Hold'em, Seven Card Stud or Five Card Stud hand played. 2 point for every real money raked Guts, Monte Carlo Guts and Three to Five hand played.). See the Bonus section above for more information about GutsPoker giving away point.

License
GutsPoker is operating under a gaming license granted by the government of Antigua & Barbuda. Established, licensed, and fully functional since 9/1/2001. To have a license means that GutsPoker is able to yearly deposit enough money, which is a backup for players (approximately US $50,000 up to US $100,000 per annum), pay the taxes (of about 2,5% up to 5%), and hence is subject to the control of the government of the Antigua & Barbuda.

Software
GutsPoker was developed by 'LasVegasFromHome.com Entertainment Inc.' in Vancouver. ActionPoker maintains the operation of GutsPoker. GutsPoker does not need any download since it is browser-based and therefor can be played from anywhere in the world.

Financial Information
GutsPoker allows you to play for Play Money and Real Money.

Deposits
GutsPoker accepts deposits made by Neteller, PayPal, FirePay, Credit Card (MasterCard / VISA) and Bank Draft or Cashiers Check.

Withdrawals
GutsPoker will pay your money by PayPal or Bank Draft. Bank drafts are restricted to one per player per week, and a $35 (thirty-five) minimum. GutsPoker will send bank drafts over $2,000 (two thousand) by DHL, at no cost to you. Drafts and checks under $1500 will be sent via air mail or priority mail, and can take up to 14 days to arrive.

Buy-In
When a player first sits down at the table and buys chips, it is called "buy-in". The minimum buy-in for GutsPoker's Guts, Monte Carlo Guts and Three to Five Poker is 20 times the ante (ante is the money put into the pot by each player before the  cards are dealt). This means you need $20 to enter a 50-cent ante table.
The minimum buy-in for GutsPoker's Texas Hold'em, Seven Card Stud, and Five Card Stud Poker is 10 times the small bet (smallest possible bet). This means you need $100 to enter a $10-$20 table. The buy-ins for tournaments range from $1 up to $90.

Rake
GutsPoker charges a commission (the "rake") at the end of each hand from pots exceeding $2. This represents the only source of revenue for GutsPoker - and every Poker Hall -, since all winnings go to the players. The rake amount is never more than $3 and is determined by the number of players at the table, and the total amount in the pot.

Betting Limits
The amount a player may bet or raise at GutsPoker on any turn is set by the betting limits of the game. For example, in a 10-20 limit poker game, players can bet or raise $10 in the first two rounds of betting and can bet or raise $20 in the last two rounds of betting.
