General Information

Positive
TruePoker has nice graphics and characters, a unique three dimensional interface that allows you to see other people checking their cards and runs tournaments nearly every day. The weekend tournament has a grand prize of US $10,000 (Ten Thousand US Dollar). TruePoker has a very friendly and helpful support team. You can see that they are experienced poker players dedicated to poker.

Bonus
TruePoker pays your credit card processing fees when using VISA to deposit funds and used to add 10% (up to $100) to any bank draft that you deposited. This bonus has been cancelled but should be valid again in a while.

Tournaments
TruePoker offers both Play money and Real money tournaments nearly every day and is famous for their $10,000 Guarantee Sunday Tournament. Entry costs typically involve a Buy-in, which is put towards the prize pool, and an entry fee, which is TruePoker's fee for hosting the games. Separate from the entry fee or buy-in, each tournament has a "starting chip amount" - the amount of chips you have to have at the start of the tournament. The prize (all buy-ins) is split between the top 3 players, in a ratio of 50%, 30% & 20%.

Deposits
TruePoker accepts deposits made by Neteller, PayPal, VISA, MasterCard, Bank Draft or Cashiers Check.

Withdrawals
TruePoker will credit back to your VISA the original amount you deposited. Your profits will be paid by Bank Draft or Check.
Bank drafts and checks are restricted to one per player per week, and a $50 minimum - unless it's your full and last cash-out. They will send drafts over $1500 by FedEx or Airborne Express, at no cost to you. Drafts and checks under $1500 will be sent via air mail or priority mail, and can take up to 14 days to arrive.

Buy-In
When a player first sits down at the table and buys chips, it is called "buy-in". The minimum buy-in for TruePoker is 10 times the small bet (smallest possible bet). This means you need $100 to enter a $10-$20 game. The buy-ins for tournaments range from $1 up to $90.

Rake
TruePoker charges a commission (the "rake") at the end of each hand from pots exceeding $20. This represents the only source of revenue for TruePoker - and every Poker Hall -, since all winnings go to the players. The rake amount is never more than $3 and is determined by the number of players at the table, and the total amount in the pot.

Players $20 Pot $40 Pot $60 Pot Max Pot
2 - 4 $1 $0 $0 $1
4 - 5 $1 $1 $0 $2
6 - 10 $1 $1 $1 $3

Small Blind
The small blind (the smaller of the two compulsory bets in flop games) at TruePoker is made by the player immediately to the left of the dealer and is equal to half of the minimum bet, rounded down to the nearest dollar. For example, the small blind in a 3-6 game is $1, and in a 4-8 game, $2.

Betting Limits
The amount a player may bet or raise at TruePoker on any turn is set by the betting limits of the game. For example, in a 10-20 limit poker game, players can bet or raise $10 in the first two rounds of betting and can bet or raise $20 in the last two rounds of betting.

Games

Texas Hold 'em
 True Poker
Hold 'em, also known as "Texas Hold 'em", is a poker game in which each player receives 2 cards dealt face down, while 5 cards are dealt face up on the table. All players play with their best 5 cards in any combination of their 2 down cards and the 5 common cards on the table. The best five-card poker hand wins. Play
Five Card Draw
True PokerThere is an ante and two betting rounds: Each player is dealt 5 cards face down and pays the ante. After this first round of betting, a player can draw up to 5 new cards or choose to hold 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, or all his cards. A button is used to indicate the dealer. The action starts clockwise from the button throughout the hand. Play
Omaha High
 True Poker
Omaha is a poker game in which each player receives 4 cards dealt face down, while 5 cards are dealt face up on the table. All players play with their best 5 cards but they must use 2 of their cards in combination with 3 of the cards exposed on the table. There are a great variety of possible hands because each player has 4 down cards and this usually results in lots of action. Play
Omaha Hi-Lo
 True Poker
Hi-Lo simply means that the pot gets split between the best high hand and the best low hand where the low hand must be an 8 or better to qualify. Otherwise it is played exactly like Omaha Hi: Each player receives 4 cards dealt face down, while 5 cards are dealt face up on the table. All players play with their best 5 cards, using 2 of their own cards in combination with 3 of the cards exposed on the table. Play
